Myles Joseph (Joe) Connolly of Oakland Park, FL passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2024. Joe was born in Fort Lauderdale on March 21, 1957. Joe is predeceased by his parents Vera and William Connolly and his brother William “Billy” Connolly. He is survived by his sister, Susan Connolly (Joe Lukas) and his brothers, Jay (Carol) and Larry, nephews Matt Betson, Scott Betson (Lisa Ann), Tim Connolly (Andrea) and Ryan Connolly and niece Katelyn Alice Lynch, great nephews William Betson and Granger James Connolly, great nieces Lilliana and Cecilia Betson and many extended family members.

Joe was a graduate of St. Clement elementary school and Cardinal Gibbons High School. He attended the University of Florida and was a lifelong Gator fan. Joe was a gifted athlete and student, and he loved all sports. He was well known as an avid fisherman. Joe spent most of his adult life in the hospitality business mostly at The Ambry, Mr. Laff’s and Cheers. He found great delight in making sure the people around him were having a good time and sharing in his zest for life. Joe will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Joe on December 14 at 2 PM at:
