John O’Connor 78 of Oakland Park, Fl passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024 in Oakland Park. A Native of Philadelphia, John was a resident of Ft. Lauderdale since the late 1960’s. He and his Wife Julie owned and operated the Cookie Shop in Lauderdale by the Sea for close to 60 years, He was a member of Christ Church and was involved in numerous church activities including food service’s. John was a US Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam conflict. John was proceeded in death by his. He is survived by brother-in-law Bob Liess and Bill Liess of Oakland Park, Niece Jennifer Moorehead (Charles), Great Niece Alicia Moorehead of Columbus, Mississippi, and Cousins. Interment will be at the South Florida VA National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Fl. with full Military honors on Wednesday October 2, 2024, 9:30 AM Lane # 3 .
