Denise Rene Mahn, 61, of Wilton Manors passed away on Monday November 6, 2023 after a brief illness caused by a sudden brain aneurism. Denise was born in Warner-Robbins, GA on September 3, 1962, and was raised in Homerville, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida. After Graduation from Flagler College, Denise moved to Norfolk, VA, where she met her future husband, Patrick. In 1996, Denise joined Patrick and they lived in Marlton and Riverton, NJ, and later, Newtown Square and West Chester, PA. In 2018, Denise and Patrick moved to south Florida to begin her dream job as a Merchandising Operations Manager for Chewy, Inc.
Denise is predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth J. Mahn, and is survived by her devoted husband, Patrick Considine, a sister Laura (Toby) Kessler, and her father, David Mahn. In-laws include: Michael Considine (Jane Regan), Maura Considine (Peter Bannon), William Considine, Clare Considine, and Katy Considine (Chaz Popovich). Denise dearly loved and was loved by nine nieces and nephews: David, Jennifer, Alison, Declan, Annie, Clare, Liam, Will and Daniel.
Denise was an amazing friend and nurturer—to everyone. Easy to get to know. Easier to love once met. No matter the circumstances, Denise would welcome you, comfort you and feed you. Her circle of friends was astonishingly large and varied, and she introduced many of her friends and family to the wonderful and varied of entertaining, food and cuisines of the world. More importantly, she showed what true friendship is.
Denise’s passions weren’t limited to food and travel. She was a champion for the underdog, a bold fighter for what she felt was right and fiercely protective of those she loved. Friends and coworkers alike would agree that Denise gave St. Francis a run for his money. Animals that needed help always found a home with her and Patrick. So many of them seemingly actively sought her out while they were in distress or dire straits. Zoe, Cleo, Tucker, Lucky, Lilly, Mikey. They all found a good home and all were fed, nurtured and loved.
Visitation Will be held on Friday from 6-8 PM at the First Christian Church of Wilton Manors, 2725 NE 14 Ave. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday Nov. 11, 2023 at St. Marks Episcopal Church 1750 E.
