Barbara C. Siefker

Barbara C. Siefker was born April 15, 1939 and passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2015. She is survived by her daughters: Lisa (Bob) Sandidge, Sharon (Michael) O'Connor, Kris (Timothy) Wright, Stephanie (Robert) Fisher, step daughter Kelly (Brad) Thomas and Sister Cissy (Harry) Jackson. She was loved dearly by her nine grandchildren Sean, Ashley, Lauren, Christine, Shane, Katie, Danielle, Krista and Kevin and her great grandchildren Cody, Kara, Conner, Lilly, Falynn, Reese and Lucas and over 60 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Sommons, Sisters: Mary, Rudy, Joey, Patty and her brother John Crooks. Barbara came to Fort Lauderdale in 1946 from Jeffersonville, Indiana. She attended St. Anthony's and Central Catholic HS. She worked in the medical field and managed Medical Transcriptions, Ltd. Barbara was known for her compassion, generosity, wit, intelligence and fun-loving spirit, but above all, for her devotion to Christ, She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Mass of the Christian burial will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 12:00PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ft. Lauderdale. As she cared for so many in their final days.
